Coronavirus COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) Research Products

Contract ResearchAs the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise globally, scientists across various countries are engaged in fundamental research to understand the life cycle of this rapidly mutating virus, its virulence, and the factors contributing to its swift spread within communities, leading to severe illness and fatalities. This situation has compelled governments, health institutes, scientific organizations, industries, and universities worldwide to repurpose existing drugs in hopes of finding a quick and effective treatment for this life-threatening viral disease. Concurrently, efforts to develop vaccines against this virus are progressing rapidly, with several candidates currently in Phase 3 trials. Upon proving their safety and efficacy, these vaccines are expected to be available on the market within one to two years, providing global access to patients. Additionally, the FDA has approved a nucleoside-based antiviral drug, Remdesivir, to reduce the progression of the disease in hospitalized patients and to shorten hospital stays. Recently, other drugs such as Dexamethasone and various nucleoside-based antiviral medications are being tested to determine their effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2.

Due to the need for a drug during the pandemic period, SynInnova has applied its medicinal chemistry expertise to design a series of compounds based on existing nucleoside drugs (such as Remdesivir, Favipiravir) or other scaffold-based drugs (such as Nafamostat). This effort aims to support the global scientific community in identifying a suitable drug candidate against SARS-CoV-2 within a short time frame.

From research to quality control standards, SynInnova has developed a series of products to support the scientific community in the development and controls of candidate vaccines and therapeutics against the SARS-CoV-2.
