Applications : This compound acts as an advanced intermediate in the synthesis of Cinacalcet, which is a calcimimetic medication that enhances the sensitivity of calcium-sensing receptors (CaSR) on parathyroid cells to extracellular calcium; Cinacalcet is used to manage chronic kidney disease in patients undergoing dialysis and to treat elevated blood calcium levels resulting from parathyroid gland disorders.
