Applications : Dansyl derivative of lithocholic acid, is a bile acid formed bacterial action in the colon produces LCA from chenodeoxycholic acid, a putative tumor promoter, inhibits mammalian DNA polymerase beta. The dansyl fluorescent bile acid probes can be used in studying the mechanism of action of perticular bile acid and quantification of bile acids simultaneously.
