Applications : This is an advanced key intermediate in the preparation of Celecoxib and related analogs. Celecoxib is a COX-2 selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is used to treat the pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, acute pain in adults, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, painful menstruation, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
