Applications : 4-O-Desmethyl 4-O-benzyl trimethoprim is an analog of Trimethoprim, which is a bacteriostatic antibiotic. It is used mainly in the prophylaxis and treatment of urinary tract infections. 4-O-Desmethyl 4-O-ethyl trimethoprim also has potential antibacterial activity.
