Applications : This is a deuterium labelled version of 4-O-Desmethyl 4-O-ethyl trimethoprim-d5 and an analog of Trimethoprim, which is a bacteriostatic antibiotic used mainly in the prophylaxis and treatment of urinary tract infections. 4-O-Desmethyl 4-O-ethyl trimethoprim also has potential antibacterial activity.
