Applications : A‑769662 activates AMPK and independently inhibits 26S proteasome function, producing cell‑cycle arrest. It directly stimulates rat liver AMPK (EC₅₀ = 0.8 µM) and reduces fatty‑acid synthesis in hepatocytes (IC₅₀ = 3.2 µM). Through these actions, A‑769662 improves metabolic parameters relevant to type 2 diabetes.
