Applications : This is an impurity of Acyclovir (Aciclovir impurity 1), which is a synthetic nucleoside analog of guanosine. A potent antiviral agent, which is used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses, such as genital herpes, cold sores, shingles, and chicken pox.
