Applications : AGG‑523 is an oral, reversible, non‑hydroxamate zinc‑binding inhibitor that potently targets ADAMTS4/5 (<0.03/0.04 µM) and also inhibits MMP‑2, ‑8, and ‑12. It decreases ARG‑aggrecan fragment release in synovial fluid and protects cartilage in rat models, supporting its application in studying aggrecanase‑mediated cartilage breakdown and osteoarthritis pathology.
