Applications : This is a deuterium labelled version of Ambroxol . This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Ambroxol is an active metabolite of the prodrug Bromhexine, exhibits significant expectorant properties. It acts as a glucocerebrosidase (GCase) chaperone, enhancing GCase activity. Additionally, Ambroxol induces pulmonary autophagy and shows potential in research related to Parkinson’s disease and neuronopathic Gaucher disease.
