Applications : This is a deuterium labelled version of Ambroxol hydrochloride. This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Ambroxol hydrochloride is an active metabolite of the prodrug Bromhexine, exhibits significant expectorant properties. It acts as a glucocerebrosidase (GCase) chaperone, enhancing GCase activity. Additionally, Ambroxol hydrochloride induces pulmonary autophagy and shows potential in research related to Parkinson’s disease and neuronopathic Gaucher disease.
