Applications : Azemiglitazone functions as a TZD‑like agent with low PPARγ affinity and acts predominantly through inhibition of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC). By modulating mitochondrial metabolism, it demonstrates beneficial effects in Alzheimer’s disease models and reduces liver injury associated with NASH.
