Applications : Ceftiofur-d3 is a deuterium labelled version of Ceftiofur. This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Ceftiofur is an inhibitor of cell wall synthesis that acts on bacterial penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and demonstrates notable anti-inflammatory properties in cases of endotoxemia. Ceftiofur bactericidal activity results from the suppression of peptidoglycan synthesis within bacterial cell walls, ultimately causing cell lysis. Furthermore, Ceftiofur impedes the activation of NF-κB and MAPKs, thereby diminishing the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6.
