Applications : This is a potent CFTR activator optimized from Cact‑3 with improved solubility suitable for eye‑drop formulation. It distributes well to cornea and conjunctiva with minimal systemic exposure and significantly enhances tear secretion and improves corneal erosion in dry‑eye disease models. It also reduces pro‑inflammatory cytokine mRNA levels (IL‑1β, IL‑17, TNF‑α, MMP2), supporting its potential as a topical therapeutic candidate for DED.
