Applications : This is an impurity of Cephalexin, which is an orally active semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic effective against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Cephalexin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall assembly through targeting penicillin-binding proteins and is used in research for conditions such as pneumonia, strep throat, and bacterial endocarditis.
