Applications : Cinacalcet is a calcimimetic medication that works by increasing the sensitivity of calcium-sensing receptors (CaSR) on parathyroid cells to extracellular calcium. This is used to manage chronic kidney disease in patients on dialysis as well as to treat elevated blood calcium levels caused by parathyroid gland disorders.
