Applications : It is a deuterium labelled analog of Curcumin-monoalkyne, a biochemical for the snthesis of monofunctional Curcumin derivatives via click chemistry usig [3+2] azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction to make Curcumin conjugates for therapeutic applications. It may also be possible to synthesize and screen a range of carbohydrate derivatives of Curcumin to optimize brain uptake of the carbohydrate conjugates via the glucose transport mechanism.
