Applications : This is an impurity of Somatostatin, which inhibits a range of secretions including endocrine, exocrine, pancreatic, pituitary, and gastrointestinal. It also impedes angiogenesis. Owing to Somatostatin's brief half-life, stable analogs have been developed for therapeutic purposes, particularly in the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Synthetic analogs such as Lanreotide, Octreotide, Seglitide, and Vapreotide are utilized to manage conditions including acromegaly and various neuroendocrine tumors, such as glucagonoma, carcinoid tumors, gastrinoma, somatostatinoma, growth hormone releasing factor tumors (GRFomas), VIPoma, insulinoma, numerous pituitary adenomas, and pheochromocytoma.

Storage : Keep container tightly closed under nitrogen or argon and store at -20^oC for long-term shelf life.
