Applications : This is an impurity of Lornoxicam, which is an orally active NSAID with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and anticancer properties. It inhibits COX-1 (IC50=0.005 μM) and COX-2 (IC50=0.008 μM), suppresses NO production by iNOS (IC50=65 μM), reduces IL-6 (IC50=54 μM), and curbs tumor cell growth and migration. Lornoxicam may be studied for inflammatory pain, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer.
