Applications : (E)-Norgestimate is an geometrical isomer of Norgestimate, which is a synthetic analog of progesterone and acts as an orally active progestin with highly selective progestational effects and minimal androgenic activity. Additionally, Norgestimate serves as a reagent for click chemistry because it contains an alkyne group, allowing it to undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with molecules featuring azide groups.
