Applications : This is an impurity of Foscarnet sodium, a viral DNA polymerase inhibitor that temporarily suppresses viral replication. Foscarnet sodium is classified as an anti-herpesvirus agent and is indicated for the treatment of cytomegalovirus retinitis.
