Applications : HJC-0123 is a selective STAT3 inhibitor that blocks hepatic stellate‑cell proliferation while inducing cell‑cycle arrest and apoptosis. It decreases STAT3 phosphorylation, nuclear localization, and transcriptional output, elevates IL‑6 levels, inhibits Smad2/3 activation, and downregulates SOCS3 expression. These combined activities support its use as a tool compound in liver‑fibrosis studies.
