Applications : This is an impurity of Imipramine, which is an orally active, tertiary amine tricyclic antidepressant. It acts as a Fascin1 inhibitor with antitumor properties. Additionally, imipramine inhibits the serotonin transporter, demonstrating an IC50 value of 32 nM. The compound stimulates autophagy in U-87MG glioma cells and induces apoptosis in HL-60 cells. Imipramine also exhibits neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects.
