Applications : This is a deuterium labelled version of Itopride hydrochloride, which is a dopamine-2 antagonist and an acetylcholine esterase (AChE) inhibitor. It enhances gastric motility through both antidopaminergic and anti-acetylcholinesterase mechanisms, and may be used as a gastrointestinal prokinetic agent. Itopride hydrochloride is also used in research related to gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD).
