Applications : Levofloxacin is an orally active antibiotic effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Levofloxacin is used in the treatment of chronic periodontitis, airway inflammation, and for BK Viremia research. Additionally, it demonstrates anti-orthopoxvirus activity.
