Applications : N-Formyl thyroxine is a Thyroxine derivative, which is showed less thyroid activity than Thyroxine sodium. Also, this is an impurity of L-Thyroxine (Levothyroxine USB C impurity), which is a synthetic hormone in the treatment of hypothyroidism. DIO enzymes convert biologically active thyroid hormone (Triiodothyronine,T3) from L-Thyroxine (T4).
