Applications : This is an impurity of Linezolid, which is the first antibiotic in the oxazolidinone class. It works by blocking the start of bacterial protein synthesis. Linezolid is used to treat severe infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria that are resistant to multiple other antibiotics.
