Applications : Mitapivat is an orally active allosteric activator of pyruvate kinase. It enhances enzymatic activity, improves protein stability, and increases ATP levels across various PKLR genotypes. By doing so, Mitapivat has the potential to restore the function of glycolytic pathways that are deficient in pyruvate kinase. As a result, Mitapivat can be used in studies investigating PK deficiency.
