Applications : Moxonidine is an orally active imidazoline I1 receptor (I1-R) agonist that also activates α2 adrenoceptors, influencing oxidized LDL uptake. It lowers blood pressure, reduces atherosclerotic lesions, and is used to study hypertension, heart failure, and atherosclerosis.
