Applications : Mupirocin lithium is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase, preventing protein synthesis. It is highly effective against Gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, as well as some Gram-negative bacteria such as Haemophilus influenzae. Mupirocin lithium is used in research on skin infections (including MRSA) and chronic sinusitis.
