Applications : N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide is an impurity of Nicorandil (Nicorandil impurity 5), which is a potassium channel activator, and stimulates guanylate cyclase to increase formation of cyclic GMP (cGMP), used to treat angina.
