Applications : N-Desmethyl vandetanib is the first major metabolite of vandetanib formed during the metabolism of vandetanib via cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzyme metabolism, specifically CYP3A4. The pharmacological activity of the N-desmethyl metabolite was shown to be about the same as that for vandetanib.
