Applications : This is a nitrosamine impurity of Citalopram, which is a racemate mixture of the active S(+)-enantiomer (Escitalopram) and R(-)-enantiomer. Citalopram is an orally active selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Citalopram is an antidepressant and enhances serotoninergic neurotransmission.
