Applications : This is a nitrosamine impurity of Folic acid, which is an essential nutrient that belongs to the B complex group of vitamins. It demonstrates antidepressant-like effects and, in the form of folic acid sodium, helps lower the risk of neonatal neural tube defects. Additionally, folic acid is utilized in research related to megaloblastic and macrocytic anaemias that result from folic acid deficiency.
