Applications : This is a nitrosamine impurity of Landiolol, which is a highly selective, ultra-short-acting β1 adrenergic receptor blocker that lowers heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand. It inhibits TNF-α-induced mitochondrial oxygen consumption and reactive oxygen species in sepsis models, helping prevent renal injury. Landiolol minimally affects cardiac ion channels and has a weak negative inotropic effect. It is used for perioperative tachycardia control and in studies on sepsis-related acute kidney injury.
