Applications : This is a deuterium-labelled version nitrosamine impurity of Trimetazidine, which is an anti-ischemic (anti-anginal) metabolic agent that improves myocardial glucose utilization by inhibiting long-chain 3-ketoacyl CoA thiolase activity, resulting in reduced fatty acid oxidation and increased glucose oxidation.
