Applications : This is a nitrosamine impurity of Voglibose, which is an oral alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that helps prevent colorectal precancerous lesions caused by obesity and diabetes. Voglibose also reduces oxidative stress in inflammatory conditions and blocks the action of the insulin-like growth factor and its receptor (IGF/IGF-1R).
