Applications : Nerigliatin activates glucokinase with an EC₅₀ of 154.4 µM and retains glucose‑lowering effects in preclinical models. Its use is limited by peripheral nerve degeneration, making it a compound of interest mainly for mechanistic studies in type 2 diabetes.
