Applications : NRL‑1049 selectively inhibits ROCK2 with sub‑micromolar potency and shows markedly reduced activity against ROCK1. It stabilizes blood–brain barrier function, mitigates edema, seizures, and hemorrhage, and reduces lesion burden in cerebral cavernous malformation models. These properties support its use in studies of acute brain injury, ischemic stroke, and neurovascular disorders.
