Applications : O6-[3-(Trifluoroacetamidomethyl)benzyl]guanine is the precursor for O6-[3-(Aminomethyl)benzyl] guanine, it was observed that the substitution of aminomethyl at the meta-position enhances the inactivation of O6-alkylguanine-DNA alkyltransferase by O6- benzylguanine, could be useful intermediate inorder to find out the suitable chemotherapeutic DNA-alkylating agents.
