Applications : Penciclovir is a potent and selective anti-herpesvirus compound, demonstrating EC50 values of 0.5 μg/ml for HSV-1 (HFEM) and 0.8 μg/ml for HSV-2 (MS). It exhibits antiviral activity against herpesviruses without toxicity. Additionally, Penciclovir has been shown to reduce mortality in mouse models.
