Applications : Penciclovir-d4 is a deuterium labelled version of Penciclovir. This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Penciclovir is a potent and selective anti-herpesvirus compound. Penciclovir exhibits antiviral activity against herpesviruses without toxicity. Additionally, Penciclovir has been shown to reduce mortality in mouse models.
