Applications : Piericidin A is a natural complex I inhibitor that disrupts NADH–ubiquinone electron transfer, leading to impaired mitochondrial respiration and pronounced neurotoxicity. It additionally inhibits quorum sensing in E. carotovora subsp. atroseptica and shows potent antibacterial, anticancer, and insecticidal activity, supporting its use as an ADC payload and as a tool for studying mitochondrial biology.
