Applications : This is an impurity of Piperacillin, which is a semisynthetic broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic demonstrating significant bactericidal efficacy against Gram-negative organisms and certain Gram-positive strains via action on penicillin-binding proteins. It is predominantly administered alongside the β-lactamase inhibitor Tazobactam to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
