Applications : This is an impurity of Arformoterol, which is a long-acting β2-adrenergic receptor (β2-AR) agonist. Arformoterol is used in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Arformoterol is the (R,R)-enantiomer of Formoterol. Compared to the (S,S)-enantiomer, Arformoterol is considered a more potent form of the drug.
