Applications : (R)-Elexacaftor is the enantiomer of Elexacaftor, an orally active CFTR modulator that binds nucleotide‑binding domain 1 to stabilize F508del‑CFTR. Elexacaftor enhances CFTR folding, trafficking, and membrane residency, improving its metabolic and thermal stability and increasing ion channel function. It rescues chloride transport across diverse CFTR mutations and acts synergistically with Ivacaftor within the clinically established triple‑combination regimen. It is widely applied in cystic fibrosis research.
