Applications : This is a racemic version of Iptacopan, which is a highly selective, orally active inhibitor of factor B. By acting early in the complement cascade, it helps prevent the destruction (hemolysis) of red blood cells in PNH and protects kidney cells from damage in IgAN and C3G. It is useful for studying diseases mediated by the complement system, especially paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), primary immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN), and complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G).
