Applications : Rimantadine functions as an oral M2 channel inhibitor, blocking proton conductance to prevent viral entry and early replication. It displays broad antiviral activity, suppresses HAV replication post‑entry in Huh7 cells, enhances autophagic responses, and confers strong protection against H3N2 influenza in vivo.
