Applications : This is an (S)-enantiomer of Nimodipine, which is an orally active, well-tolerated, light-sensitive dihydropyridine calcium antagonist. Nimodipine can be used in cerebrovascular disorder research. Notably, the (S)-Nimodipine enantiomer exhibits significantly greater potency compared to the (R)-enantiomer. Furthermore, (S)-Nimodipine is approximately twice as effective as a vasorelaxant when compared to the racemic mixture.
