Applications : SCH-58261 selectively and competitively inhibits the A₂A receptor with an IC₅₀ of 15 nM and displays marked selectivity over A₁, A₂B, and A₃ receptors (323‑, 53‑, and 100‑fold, respectively). Its high potency and selectivity support its use in studies of A₂A‑dependent physiological and pathological pathways.
